The party
- How does the paint-your-own party activity work?
- Each guest gets a blank flexi critter and spends up to 30 minutes painting it. Then the critters stay on the table to dry while the kids play, and at home time each child takes theirs home to stick on the fridge, a to-do board or a magnetic wall. It's the activity and the party favour in one.
- Can I choose which critters are in the pack?
- Yes. Choose how many of each design you want (cat, caterpillar, T-REX, eagle, parrot, bee, axolotl, dolphin and pug), one per guest, in any mix.
- What age is it for?
- Ages 6 and up, with an adult supervising. The critters contain magnets and small parts, so keep them away from younger siblings.
- Do you do bigger groups, like classes or holiday programmes?
- Yes. Get in touch and we'll sort it out with you.
The critters
- What is a CritterPal?
- A Critter Pal is a small, bendy 3D-printed pet with magnets hidden inside its head and bum. The joints are printed in place, so it flexes and wriggles straight off the printer with no assembly, and it sticks to anything metallic like the fridge, a locker, or your desk.
- What are they made of?
- Each CritterPals is printed in PLA plastic, a sturdy plant-based bioplastic, with small magnets in their heads/body.
- How do I look after it?
- PLA softens in heat, so keep your CritterPals out of hot cars and direct sunlight. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth (no dishwasher).
Painting & finish
- Do the critters come painted?
- No, that's the kids' job. Every critter ships blank in natural-white PLA, the perfect canvas for paint markers. Some of our filament is recycled, which can give the white base a subtle tonal variation or tiny flecks. That's part of the character, not a fault.
- What should the kids paint with?
- Acrylic paint markers. They grip the smooth plastic, and there are no brushes or water pots to manage. You can add our acrylic paint marker sets (8 colours per set) to your party pack. Ordinary felt-tips and washable markers smudge and won't stick to the surface.
Safety
- Are they safe for children?
- CritterPals are decorative magnets, not children's toys, and are not suitable for children under 3. Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury, so seek medical attention immediately if ingested. Party painting is for ages 6 and up, with an adult supervising.
Shipping & returns
- How long until my order ships?
- We aim to get your order dispatched quickly. See our shipping & delivery page for delivery timeframes.
- Can I return my party pack?
- For change of mind, yes, if the package hasn't been opened: let us know within 14 days of delivery and send it back with the seal intact (return postage is on you). Once it's been opened we can't take it back for change of mind. If anything is faulty or not as described, you're covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act whether or not it's been opened.
