The critters
- What is a CritterPal?
- A CritterPals is a small, bendy 3D-printed pet with magnets hidden inside its head and bum. The joints are printed in place, so it flexes and wriggles straight off the printer with no assembly, and it sticks to anything metallic like the fridge, a locker, or your desk.
- What are they made of?
- Each CritterPals is printed in PLA, a sturdy plant-based bioplastic, with small magnets embedded by hand into the head and bum.
- How do I look after it?
- PLA softens in heat, so keep your CritterPals out of hot cars and direct sunlight. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth (no dishwasher).
Colours & finish
- What colours are available?
- We stock a palette of 12 filament colours. The colour options shown on each product page are always the ones available for that critter.A note on colour: filament colours aren't standardised, so a shade can look slightly different between batches and won't always match your screen exactly. Some of our filament is also recycled, which is a more sustainable choice that can carry subtle tonal variation or tiny flecks. That's part of the character, not a fault.
- Will my critter have visible layer lines or imperfections?
- Yes, and that's completely normal. Every CritterPals is 3D-printed in small batches. We do our best to make each one look perfect, but visible layer lines and small imperfections are an expected part of 3D printing. Think of them as the fingerprint of a small-batch print rather than a fault.
Safety
- Are they safe for children?
- CritterPals are decorative magnets, not children's toys, and are not suitable for children under 3. Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury, so seek medical attention immediately if ingested.

Gifts & parties
- Do you do party packs or a paint-your-own activity?
- Yes. Our Party Pack - Paint-Your-Own is a birthday party activity and party favour in one: a bundle of blank white critters that guests paint at the party and take home. It starts at NZ$60 for 8 critters (with free Economy shipping) and you choose how many of each design, plus more critters for NZ$5 each. The critters ship blank and are decorated with permanent markers made for plastic (bring your own; ordinary or washable markers won't stick to the smooth surface).
- What makes a good gift or birthday present?
- A single named critter makes a fun little gift, the surprise gift pack (three critters at random) is an easy birthday present, and the paint-your-own party pack sorts a whole birthday party's activity and party favours at once.
- Can I get a bigger version?
- Absolutely. If you love your CritterPals and want a larger version, get in touch and we'll put together a quote for you. Just send us a message with the critter you're after and the size you have in mind.
